Born and raised in Nashville, James Bryan Lewis, Esq., has devoted his life to the practice of law and to the clients he is privileged to serve. Bryan studied for a semester at St. John's College in Oxford, England, before graduating from Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee College of Law. He earned his license to practice law in 1991 and has brought passion to his work for nearly 30 years. He has extensive trial experience in criminal and civil circuit courts throughout Tennessee. He has argued two cases before the Tennessee Supreme Court and practiced in federal courts across the Southeast. He helped establish the Davidson County General Sessions Drug Court Foundation. He also served as co-chair of a committee to erect a statue honoring A.A. Birch Jr., the first African American to serve as Chief Justice of the Tennessee Supreme Court. A solo practitioner, Bryan's areas of concentration include criminal defense, personal injury automobile accidents, business litigation, and probate litigation. He understands that the practice of law is a learning experience requiring constant study and he does this with enthusiasm.

Bryan and his wife, Tana, have one daughter, Sadye. He and his family attend Corinthian Baptist Church and he enjoys hunting, fishing and flying twin-engine planes as an instrument-rated pilot. He is a Master Mason, Belleview Lodge 716. A Tennessean through and through, the roots for the Titans and loves Country music, especially the classics - Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard. Bryan looks forward to serving you.
